NOTES:  This watch has a 7-jewel movement, not often seen in men's models.   I also have a white gold version of this same model, also dated 1936.  The advertisement excerpt included below, showing this watch as the Alexander, was part of a much larger ad that included eleven different models.  All but two of the models had a jewel count displayed, and all those jewel counts were 15 and higher.  The two watches that did not include a jewel count were the Alexander and the Horatio.  The Horatio is known from other advertisements to have a 7-jewel movement.  I believe that it is reasonable to conclude that the Alexander also has a 7-jewel movement, which is why that information was ommitted from the ad.  Apart from the jewel count, the image also appears to be a match for this watch.
