NOTES: Like the 30-jewel President of the same era, the Commander is a line of watches with varying case styling and composition. The common features amongst the various Commanders are 30 jewel movements, self winding, waterproof, raised numbers/markers, and luminous hands. In earlier years (approx. 1960-1964), watches with these features were simply referred to as the "Bulova 30", similar to the "Bulova 23".
