NOTES: Typical of solid gold models, this example does not bear the usual case markings. In fact, this case is not signed "Bulova" anywhere on it. However, the inside of the case does bear the usual Jan. 11, 1927 patent date that Bulova used on cases from this time period, and it includes a case serial number in the standard Bulova format. The case serial number indicates a manufacture date of 1929, which matches the movement date code. The case also includes the sometimes seen hand-etched Roman numerals inside the edge of the top of the case. Those numerals match the last three digits of the case serial number, indicating that the back of the case is intended to go with the bezel.
