NOTES: I am not entirely sure about the date of this watch. The movement has no date code, and the case has no patent date--both factors that indicate a watch earlier than 1926. However, the case is signed with the Bulova name, rather than just the American Standard name, and the movement is signed "Bulova Watch Co.", rather than the earlier "Bulova W. Co.". All this may add up to a watch that is better dated to late 1923 or 1924; however, the case serial number could be an indication of 1926, which is the basis of the date I chose. If it is a 1924 watch, then the serial number would not be reliable as a date indicator. Typically, though, such early models have a serial number beginning with "1" or "2". This one is going to require additional thought and research.
