NOTES: This is the so-called "Contest Watch", which is discussed at length here: So, About That New 1932/33 Lone Eagle?. I believe this example was probably one of the earlier Tridents produced, based on its 1931 movement date and 1932 case date. The Trident was put on the market in early October, 1932, after the conclusion of a naming contest that began the previous June. Also late in 1932 we see the engraved version of this model marketed as the Lone Eagle, which is the subject of the blog cited above.
